Board & Train Dog Training in Central Kentucky

Three intensive weeks of daily, real-world training at our Midway academy — your dog comes home with reliable obedience, and you leave with the handling skills to keep it.

A real transformation — not a kennel drop-off

Board & Train is our flagship program because it works. Your dog trains multiple times a day, across a variety of real locations, so the obedience holds up in the places that actually matter — the vet, the sidewalk, the front door, the park.

Because a trained dog and an untrained handler don't last, the program is built around you. Transfer lessons on days 7, 14 and 21 mean you learn as your dog learns, so the results come home with both of you.

How the three weeks work

We start with clear communication and confidence-building, layer in obedience under gradually heavier distraction, and finish with off-leash reliability. Throughout, we address the negative behaviors that brought you to us in the first place — and give you the tools and timing to maintain everything long after graduation.

Common Questions

Answers before you call.

What is the minimum age for Board & Train?
Dogs must be at least 5.5 months old to enroll in the 3-week Board & Train program. Younger puppies are a great fit for our Puppy Foundation lessons first.
Do you take aggressive or reactive dogs?
Yes — but aggressive dogs require a consultation first so we can evaluate the dog safely and build the right plan. Call (859) 447-0446 to schedule an evaluation.
How do I keep the training after my dog comes home?
You're part of the process from the start. Transfer lessons on days 7, 14 and 21 teach you the cues, timing and tools your dog has learned so the obedience transfers cleanly to you.
Is there a discount for more than one dog?
Yes, a multi-dog discount is available. Mention both dogs when you call and we'll work out the details.
How much does Board & Train cost?
The 3-week Board & Train program is $2,600, including the transfer lessons on days 7, 14 and 21 that teach you everything your dog has learned. A multi-dog discount is available.
What will my dog learn in three weeks?
Reliable recalls under heavy distraction, automatic sits and extended stays, leash, hand and verbal cues, and calm neutrality in real-world environments — while we work to minimize the negative behaviors that brought you here.
Can I see my dog during the program?
Yes — the transfer lessons on days 7, 14 and 21 are built into the program, so you see your dog's progress firsthand every week while learning to handle the new skills yourself.
