Brian competes in IGP (formerly Schutzhund) and has spent years as a training helper and handler for club, national and world-level dogs. The highlights:
- 2023 GSDCA Nationals Top-10 competitor and High Breeder-Handler-Owner-Trainer award
- WUSV World Qualifier selection trial competitor
- BHOT IGP3, high in tracking (2022) — after IGP1 Mid-East Regional vice champion (2020) and IGP2 (2021)
- Training helper for multiple club, national and world-level competition dogs
